Places to
Visit

There is wealth of places to visit in our vicinity, suitable for all ages.

Just a few of these are detailed below.

Knighton on Teme Caravan Park is ideally located for exploring a wide range of attractions and places of interest across Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Within driving distance of the park we have everything from historic castles and stately homes to family-friendly attractions and creative local experiences. Your static caravan will become the perfect base from which to explore the best the 'three counties' has to offer.

For Food Lovers & Summer Evenings

One of the real highlights of staying at Knighton on Teme Caravan Park during the summer months is the local Pizza & Perry Night, held every Friday from May to September at the nearby farm Common wood , just a five-minute walk up the road from the park.

These pop-up evenings are extremely popular with both visitors and the local community and have become a bit of a tradition for many of our caravan owners. Freshly made wood-fired pizzas are served alongside  perry produced on the farm and local gin and themed cocktails. The relaxed, informal atmosphere makes it a perfect way to spend a warm summer evening.

The farm also hosts other themed food nights throughout the season, which are always well attended and create a lovely social buzz. On warm nights, it’s common to see groups from the park heading up together to enjoy good food, drinks and company, all within easy walking distance.

It’s these kinds of local experiences that really make staying at Knighton on Teme Caravan Park feel special and help create a strong sense of community.

For the creative

One of our favourite local attractions is Pitter Potter, a paint-your-own pottery studio in Tenbury Wells. It’s a brilliant activity for all ages and a great way to spend a relaxed afternoon. You can choose from a wide range of pottery items to paint, making it a fun and creative activity whether you’re visiting with children, grandchildren or as a couple.

There are also several independent craft shops, galleries and studios in the surrounding area, including the new Teme Valley Artisans shop in Tenbury Wells  where you can browse handmade gifts, local artwork and of course food to take back to your caravan.

For Families and Grandchildren

If you are staying with children or grandchildren, there are plenty of family-friendly attractions nearby. West Midlands Safari Park is around an hour’s drive away and makes for a fantastic full day out, with a wide range of animals and rides to enjoy. Our favourite will always be feeding the animals from your car, but prepared to be licked by a giraffe or two.

Closer to the park, there are also farm parks, as well as a well reviewed soft play in Cleobury Mortimer which are ideal for burning off the energy of younger visitors and perfect for shorter trips out during rainy days in your stay.

For History Lovers

For those who enjoy history and exploring, Ludlow Castle is a must-visit. This impressive medieval castle is one of the most well-known landmarks in the area and offers a fascinating day out, with plenty to explore both inside the castle grounds and in the surrounding town. It regularly hosts events, exhibitions and family activities throughout the year, including

.The area is also home to several beautiful stately homes and historic houses, including Hampton Court Castle, Berrington Hall and Croft Castle. These properties not only have historic buildings but landscaped gardens and seasonal events, making them ideal for days out.

For Something a little different

The surrounding area is dotted with independent museums and local attractions, such as Ludlow and Tenbury local museums, the  heritage  Severn Valley Railway and Brewery and distillery tours, such as Chase Gins. These offer a more relaxed and often quieter alternative to larger attractions and are perfect for visitors who enjoy discovering something a little off the beaten track.
